This tour introduces visitors to the traditional architecture and rural life of Zemgale, the cultural and historical region of southern Latvia.

Participants will gain insight into life in a Zemgale farmer’s homestead (mid-18th century – mid-19th century).

Visitors will also learn about the historical role of rural pubs, which served not only as places where alcoholic beverages produced on estates were sold, but also as accommodation for travellers, shops and gathering places for celebrations, fairs and social events.

The tour includes an exhibition of 18th–19th century transport vehicles displayed in the pub.
